My Prediction

Ok, so the big controversy is that the Parents Council is freaking out over the promo for tonight's GG:

I want to make sure that my official prediction is on the record. Let's be honest, ratings are down a little from the first two seasons. I think it's just a clever PR scheme. Think about it: The Parents Council is giving GG a ton of attention.... which means that now, new people will watch because they're curious. My official prediction is that the episode will not be what they're expecting.

Don't worry, Parents Council... we've all fallen for that trick at one time or another. Just last month I fell for it when my friend's ex-girlfriend un-blocked me on Facebook so that I could find her blog and Steve and I could tell her ex-boyfriend that she's engaged. I had a feeling I knew what she was doing.... and I fell for it anyway! See, it happens to the best of us.

T-minus 105 minutes........

UPDATE: I was wrong.... very wrong... but let me just tell you... it was probably the most boring "scandal" to ever be on TV.

Finally!

I finally watched 17 Again after renting it twice.... for a grand total of $8 at the redbox! $8! I'm glad that I did, though... because it was hilarious! That little Zac Efron is just so funny. Plus, I thought it was great that they made fun of Ed Hardy. I guess I just don't get Ed Hardy. It was funny when Zac's buddy was making fun of his clothes and he said, "Dude... you're bedazzled."

Which then reminded me of the WNCI remix of "Party in the USA" called "Ed Hardy in the USA." Enjoy:

But that copy kinda stinks... so for better quality, go here!

IT'S HERE, IT'S HERE!!!!!!!!

T-minus 75 minutes until.......

.Vanessa.Dan.Serena.Nate.Chuck.Blair.Jenny.

And until then, an update on my surprisingly busy life:

My birthday was fabulous. Steve surprised me with Dunkin Donuts, a super-cute shirt and a clean car! We walked around the mall, then had dinner at Mr. Sushi and ice cream at Cold Stone. It was a great birthday... and surprisingly, 23 didn't hit me as hard as 22 did... remember that? Anyway, 22 turned out to be a pretty awesome year and I'm looking forward to 23 being just as great!

We took a fun trip to find a new place to live because our lease is almost up... and if we don't figure out something, we're going to be homeless. I think the trip was a success. It sure was tiring! I'm pretty excited, though... can we say "cable included"??

Work has been keeping me busy. It's really not so bad for a job. It's good for now, but certainly not forever.

The next few weeks will be busy busy between packing and getting things in order to move. Thank goodness for one thing..... GG starts in 1.25 hours!

Oh, Stop.

How desperate for $$ do you have to be before you'll audition to be a back-up dancer for this?:

My Life According to Brit-Brit

(This picture is from the Glory Days and in no way represents Ms. Spears now)

I've been super-slacking lately, I know. Now I'm super-klepto, too. I borrowed this fun little list from Molly's facebook page.

What you do is pick one artist and answer the questions entirely in their song titles. Since Molly already chose John Mayer, I picked Britney Spears. Let's see if this works out well... haha.

Are you a male or female?
Not a Girl, Not Yet a Woman

Describe yourself:
Outrageous (hahaha)

How do you feel:
Lucky

Describe where you currently live:
Don't Go Knockin' on My Door
(seriously, though... it kind of scares me when I'm home alone and someone knocks...)

If you could go anywhere where would you go?
Where Are You Now

Your favorite form of transportation:
That's Where You Take Me

Your best friend is:
Bombastic Love

What's the weather like:
What U See (Is What U Get)

Favorite time of day:
One Kiss from You

If your life was a TV show, it would be called:
My Prerogative

What is life to you:
Anticipating

Your fear:
Kill the Lights
(I'm kinda afraid of the dark)

What is the best advice you have to give:
Do Somethin'

Thought for the Day:
The Beat Goes On

My motto:
I've Just Begun (Having My Fun)

Just Wondering...

...has anyone else noticed that Nicole Richie has been pregnant for what seems like an unnaturally long time?

I mean... it's been a really, really long time.

That kid is going to be 15lbs by the time it's born.

Have You Heard?

Michael Jackson died.

(Last known photo where Michael Jackson looks somewhat human.)

Ok, now can we please talk about something else?

Like how Glamour magazine put Blake Lively in the "Full Chested" category?

Or how Katie Holmes is finally letting her man-haircut grow out?

PopSugar is finally reporting that JT and Jessica Biel look miserable?

Or how Deal or No Deal is about to start....

Please, something that changes my life any?

An Instant Favorite

By now you all know how much I love celebrity gossip, right? It's certainly no secret. A few months ago I added another celebrity blog to my list of must-reads.
CELEBRITY BABY BLOG
all about celebs and their adorable offspring. Wholesome family entertainment. I became obsessed instantly, and now it's time that I share this information with all of you. You can thank me later :)

I Don't Hate It...

I don't hate Heidi... you all know that I really feel bad for her, right?

Ok, that being said... PopSugar posted one of her new songs this morning. Surprisingly, I like the song... but Heidi's voice just isn't strong enough. Maybe a techno-dance version by Lady Gaga or wait a few years until it's age-appropriate for Miley Cyrus? Really, just someone who won't whisper it. What do you think of this song? Could it be good if someone else released it?

A Poll.

Ok, guys. It's my first-ever poll! Let me explain my current dilemma:

New episodes of Bones return March 12.
New episodes of Gossip Girl return March 16.
New episodes of Dirty Sexy Money may never return.

Granted, I've been keeping busy with some filler shows, but I just feel a gaping void in my internet-tv watching lately. Which brings me to my question for all of you. Since my boycott of MTV has basically been lifted because Chet and Ryan are just so darn funny, should I start catching up on the entire last season of "The Hills?" If I do that, I can also begin to watch "The City." Is it worth it?? Was last season that good? Is "The City" worth checking out? I just figure that as long as I'm watching "The Real World," I might as well not deprive myself of a show that I used to enjoy... and another that I might.

So... take my poll, please!
If you've watched the shows, please also leave a comment pleading your side.
All comments and opinions are appreciated. XOXO!

Headline of the Day.

THIS JUST IN!
JUSTIN TIMBERLAKE AND JESSICA BIEL
PICK UP DRY-CLEANING ON MONDAY IN LA!

Does anyone else think that
Justin Timberlake and Jessica Biel
are the most boring celebrity couple
in the history of celebrity couples?

Scratch that. They are the most boring couple in the history of couples.

Do they ever laugh... smile... talk...?
Shoot, I wonder if they ever even look at each other.

BREAKING NEWS!

Telling people that you're not stupid is kind of the equivalent of telling people you're funny, in my book. If it is true, you don't have to announce it. Except in this news story she insists that she has created this "dumb" character that is not at all similar to her actual personality.

So now she's expecting us to believe
that she's smart AND a good actress??
Riiiiiiiiiiiight....

Friday, January 23, 2009

Oh, Britney...

How dumb do I feel? I didn't even notice!

But I knew that I thought the song was stupid.

I'd Like to Thank the Academy....

...for once again nominating movies that a majority of the country did not see. I saw the list this afternoon and had to laugh. I can honestly say that I've only seen one movie on the list this year (The Dark Knight). An improvement over last year when I actually did not see any of the movies until well after the Oscars (and even then, I only saw Juno).

Good try, Academy.
Better luck next year.

That's My Girl!

Britney's back!!
Seriously, I haven't seen her perform like this since the '02 Britney Tour.
(Yes, I was there)

Trapped.

In case you were wondering, I solved my moral dilemma. I guess I knew what I had to do all along. I will not be watching the Britney Spears documentary that airs in 2 hours. Partly because of my ongoing boycott (it really has been almost 3 months without even cheating) and partly because I'm trapped in my room without tv access (don't ask). It's going to be painful (for both reasons), but I will get through it. I will be excited to read what my friends & favorite celebrity bloggers have to say about it... just not Perez Hilton.

Let me know what you think if you watch it! XOXO

Oh... BTW...

Chris Brown might be my neighbor...
if not, then he is definitely his twin.
Just so you know.

Poor Babies.

I just read on People that Ashley Simpson & Pete Wentz named their kid Bronx Mowgli Wentz. I can hardly wait for Brooklyn Baloo Wentz... ooh how about Manhattan Shere Khan Wentz?

Dear Hollywood,

Check yourselves. Naming your child is no time to try and be funny/creative/different. Your children have ridiculous names. They are going to be on the Surreal Life before they're old enough for kindergarten.

XOXO

A Moral Dilemma.

First and foremost, Holly just informed me that today is:
National Carbonated Beverage with Caffeine Day!

So, go out there and enjoy your holiday! I personally celebrate this holiday every day of my life... but perhaps today I'll have an extra DC. Ooh, maybe I'll treat myself to McDonald's!

NOTE: Tomorrow is National Peanut Butter Fudge Day. Plan accordingly.

Ok, on to my moral dilemma. See, here's the thing. A few months ago, I broke up with MTV. We haven't spoken since. It's been a surprisingly clean break-up. We've been respectful of each other's boundaries... until now. I have just been informed by a mutual friend that MTV will be airing a 90 minute Britney Spears documentary next week. Tricky, tricky, MTV. Please refrain from putting Brit Brit in the middle of our problems. I understand that this has been difficult for you. I occasionally miss you, too... but you cannot trick me into coming back to you. We both know that this break-up has been for the best.

Yet Another Break-Up Notice

Dear Perez,

It's not you--well, wait. Actually, it is. You've gotten a little too political for me in the last few weeks over this whole Prop 8 deal. The insane Mormon-bashing is what really pushed us over the edge. 2%: That's the population of LDS people in California. It is ridiculous to say so many hateful things about one religion when so many (both religious and not) contributed to this cause. Catholics, Evangelicals, Protestants, Orthodox Jews, and Muslims all supported Yes on 8. Do you dare to pick fights with a huge percentage of the American population? Your biggest issue with Proposition 8 is that you find it hateful. Really, it's no more (and maybe even less) hateful than the words I am reading on your page lately. We live in a democracy. The issue was put to a vote of the people and passed 52%-47%. By the way, did I mention that Mormons only make up 2% of California's population?

I guess I've seen this coming for a while but refused to admit it. I'm sorry it has to end this way... I really am. I wish you the best of luck with your future endeavors.

With Love,
Kathleen
