LOLcats...

So for some reason, every once in a while I get an email newsletter from LOLcats. I happened to get one yesterday, in fact. I said, "why do I keep getting these? I did not sign up for these," and Steve said "what is that?" I told him about LOLcats... we looked at the website for a few minutes... and for some reason he thought it was really funny. (I don't get it, but whatever.)

Well, I thought they were totally dumb until I saw this one....

You win this time, LOLcats. That's funny.

Good Morning, 2004...

I walked out of those doors for the last time 6.5 years ago. That's my high school. That building doesn't even exist anymore, but somehow...

I fell asleep last night and woke up in high school. I put on my old ZHS football sweatshirt and my day was downhill from there.

PS- How old do I feel that my elementary, middle, and high schools don't even exist anymore??

It's Getting Real....

It hit me the other day at the baby shower with Steve's family that I'm actually having a baby. Weird since it's not a surprise... I've known for a while. He's been kicking away for a while, too... but for some reason, it took until people (other than myself) were giving the baby presents for it to begin to sink in. I actually almost panicked until I remembered what my sister always tells me....
"Pull yourself together... you look ridiculous!"
(I wish I could say that she's only had to say that to me on one occasion, but that would be a lie.)

Roll Your Sleeves Up (So To Speak)

I wish this was how it worked in real life.... 3.5 minutes and she's done!

A Letter.

Dear Weather,

About a month ago I said, "Oh, if it would only hang out in the 80s, that would be fantastic!" The 100+ degree weather was really a little much for September. You've gotten better since then... but now I have another request. I may be asking too much, but now it's October. I would really appreciate if the temperature would hang out in the low-70s. The mornings have been so nice... and then it just gets so hot! Wouldn't it be nice to be comfortable all day? Think about it.

Love,
Me.

A Brave Soul

After a few hours of watching HGTV laying on the couch (and getting some great decorating ideas for the layout of our new apartment next month), I decided that I was going to need some caffeine if I was going to get anything done today. I threw in a load of laundry, got dressed, and ran on over to my favorite gas station. As always, the line got super-long while I was pouring my icy beverage. The men in front of me (all buying forties... there must have been a sale?) were talking sports. The first man gets to the register and...

MAN: Will you be off in time for the Rangers game today?
CASHIER: I don't care about the Rangers.
MAN2: What?
CASHIER: I don't care about the Rangers. I don't care about the Cowboys. They could all lose and I don't care.
Men leave awkwardly without saying anything else. My turn.
ME: Wow. You're brave.
CASHIER: I just don't care about the local teams. That will be $1.07.

My New Hobby!

Attention everyone! Watch out--I have a new hobby!

I took a sewing class last night and...

Voila! I made a pillow. A very tiny, decorative pillow.

So be warned, everyone: you will probably be getting a pillow--because that's all I know how to make right now. Eventually I'll be able to branch out. Baby steps.

Speaking of babies--in other news, I had a bizarre dream last night. Just when I was starting to laugh at all the books and emails that said that I will start having dreams about babies, it happened to me!

So in my dream, I had our baby... only, I was the only one there. For some reason, no one else was at the hospital. So the baby was adorable! (And came out looking about 6 months old, but that's beside the point.) I was in a room with about 5 beds. The lady beside me brought her dog (?) and her scuzzy boyfriend. I decided to take a nap, so I strapped my baby into this high-chair looking contraption in the wall (again-??). The lady beside me's gross boyfriend decided to take their dog for a walk. When I woke up, the baby was gone! He was supposed to have a little baby tracking device on his foot, but it wasn't working (I was reading about our hospital's security yesterday). I started to panic and I looked everywhere! On the bed, under the covers, under the bed. I called Steve and said, "Umm... call me as soon as you can. You may also want to start heading this way!" and went back to searching. I was just about to blame the gross boyfriend when.... I woke up. But it made me very nervous. It's comforting to know that I will not have a roommate with a dog and a boyfriend at the hospital.

Does this mean that I have to start making fun of myself?

How Would You Feel If....

...TV producers had to use subtitles for you when you're speaking English?

Like Kyle from Teen Mom?
Or this dad on I Didn't Know I Was Pregnant?

Wouldn't you make a conscious effort to enunciate?

100 Days!

That's right. Today is 100 days until our baby's due date!

Tomorrow begins double-digits!
