Million Dollar Morons.
I'm studying from home and organizing my notes for Crim law. There is absolutely nothing on tv today, so I was watching "Million Dollar Listing" on Bravo. I love all things real estate (except real estate law, so don't even mention it) and home design, so it seemed like a good idea, right?
These real estate brokers are all super young, super douchey, and super unprofesh.
They show up to open houses in jeans and a super-douchey button-down from Express for Men.
The one is so focused on kissing the butt of Catino Mobley that is pathetic.
The one showed up to a meeting with clients in a sweatband, aviators, a long-sleeved gray t-shirt, basketball shorts, and tennis shoes. When he was asked why he was dressed like that he said, "When I woke up this morning, my power and water were both off! I couldn't shower. I just had to put on gym clothes and roll with it." So, apparently, when his electricity shuts off, he is unable to access a normal outfit?
How are these punks making multi-million dollar real estate sales? Should I be going into real estate?
Not.

I Procrastinate.

My bedroom and bathroom are clean.
My toes are freshly painted.
I talked to my mom on the phone... twice.
...and my sister.
I'm 100% caught up on gossip.
(Celeb & Facebook)
I read Glamour cover-to-cover.
I did some laundry.
Can you tell it's Finals Week?
Ok, your turn.......
I should be ___ but instead, I'm _____.

"Did I Mention the Drive Thru?"
Something started a conversation about "Trapped in the Closet" last night... which was then followed by "Have you seen 'Trapped in the Drive Thru?'" I said, "No!" So then we watched it. Seriously. The funniest thing I have seen in a while. I was LOLing the entire time. And not just because the beginning conversation was almost identical to the one Steve and I had just had. Then we watched the "Trapped in the Closet" episode with the midget..... enjoy! XOXO.

Hello, I'm Creepy.

What do you think about my little new baby g?
MakeMeBabies.com - What will your baby look like?
Yup. This is what I did yesterday when I should have been studying. I "made babies" with celebrities. Unfortunately, I can no longer marry Justin Timberlake because our babies would look creepy. Surprisingly, K-Fed and I make a decent-looking child. I would not let him ruin me the way he did Britney.

Due?
Some days I feel like Tracy Turnblad and other days I feel fine. Yesterday I felt fine... and then I went to visit my grandma. It's official. Operation: Skinny Kathleen is once again underway. Usually it's time to diet when grandma calls you "healthy." We hit an all-new low. Granted, my grandma is 81 and has so many grandkids that she can't keep straight what's going on in everyone's life, but this is a true life conversation we had:GMA: So hunny, when are you due?So, my Adornetto's pizza tonight was fabulous and I treasured every bite... that I ate while driving. It's going to be the last junk* food that I have for a while. Goodbye, yummy food! You will be missed more than you know.
ME: Due? When is what due?
GMA: When are you due?
ME: Grandma... I'm... not pregnant......
GMA: You're not? Who told me you were?
ME: Umm... I'm not sure... Brittany's pregnant? Shelly just had a baby? I'm definitely not pregnant.
GMA: Oh, hmm. I must have been thinking of one of them.
*see also: yummy.

Dear Old Zanesville High.....
...that's the beginning of our Alma Mater. 30 Rock had me thinking about high school this week. About how I thought I was too cool for school and couldn't wait to get out of there! Looking back, what if I was like Liz Lemon? I mean, I don't think that I was a loser or anything like she did... but what if people just remember me making mean comments? I know that I made fun of people. My personality hasn't changed much in 4.5 years. Anyway... Nikki had a funny little questionnaire on her blog that I stole because, quite frankly, nothing exciting is going on in my life right now. This is going to be long. Feel free to steal it and fill in your own answers on your blog!! XOXO

All I Want for Christmas...
MOM: Ok, so I'm going shopping today. Is there anything special that you want or need?
ME: Well, I need a new pair of sunglasses.
MOM: I'm not buying you sunglasses. You won't like anything that I pick out.
ME: Ok, well my favorite pair of jeans are getting holes in inappropriate places.
MOM: What size do you wear?
ME: I'm not really sure.
MOM: Next?
ME: I need a new bra...
MOM: I don't even like to go bra shopping for me. That's something we can get you when you get here.
ME: Umm... I don't really know, then.
MOM: Ok, well... since you've been less than helpful, I have to go.

Gee, Thanks!
So in my never-ending quest to try to figure out what's going on in the law, I decided to do a little extra reading on "Proximate Cause." My professor has 2 books on reserve. The first one only confused me more. Not helpful. The second one is written more for my level of reading comprehension. I was all set to learn more... until I got to the second paragraph:
Ooh, one of my weird FB friends had a cool idea on his status the other day. Grab the book closest to you, turn to page 56, and read the 5th full sentence on the page. Leave it as a comment!!
Mine: "Here, Hulk, for his own macho reasons, has invited his friends to try to knock him over."
UPDATE: Oh my gosh... how funny that Seriously, So Blessed had the same thing today. Embarrassing!
A great deal of confusion persists about what the term "proximate cause" is meant to convey. Students find this very frustrating: Justifiably, you would like some answers, some solid ground on which to base an understanding of a difficult concept. Frankly, so would I; I have done my homework on this problem, read a lot of heady articles, sorted through the cases, but if I ever thought I could settle this problem, in my own mind or in yours, I was wrong.Wow... that was helpful. Do you think I could write that on my exam?

Argyle Monday!
So yesterday was our last class with one of our favorite professors. It was sad. We decided that in honor of him and his fabulous wardrobe, we would all wear our nicest argyle and/or sweater vests. About 30 people participated. At first we weren't sure if he noticed. We should have known better... he is super observant. We were broken up into small groups to discuss tests of the Actus Reus of Attempt. Once we were ready to discuss it as a class he said:I walked around and I'm impressed with the discussion that I heard. I'm also impressed that you all seemed to close out any windows on your computer that were not class-related. I am somewhat concerned that many of you seem to have gotten dressed out of my closet this morning...I really wish that we had Crim Law all year. Who needs to know Civil Procedure, anyway? Isn't that the paralegal's job? Haha.

Double-Punch Hooray!
The guy at the gas station double-punches my beverage card. That means that I now get a free 32oz with every 3 purchases instead of 5. At first I thought maybe he double-punched it because I was buying a doughnut, too. Nope, he just always does. I smile and thank him, because that's how my mom raised me. Thanks, Gas Station Guy!
