Googled Yesterday

Yesterday, Google brought me 5 new friends. Here is what they Googled:

  • I'm so gangster
  • Taco Bell sells tacos/Medical Treatment Facility
  • Douchebaggery Grammar
  • I am so frickin pissed
  • Stuntin is a habit definition

Really? Someone just happened to Google "Taco Bell sells tacos" yesterday?

Thanks, Google!

Spotted!

A little story. My freshman year in high school, I had this friend. We'll call him "K." K and I had a class together all year. I never viewed him as more than a classmate/friend. The first day of sophomore year, I noticed something different. K was hott! He seriously got so hott over the summer! I just couldn't put my finger on the reason. (About 2 weeks into the year, I noticed that he got his braces off, but that's irrelevant to this story, really.)

Anyway, the way I felt about K then is the way that I feel about Nate Archibald now. I don't know what he did, but he got hott over the summer! Welcome back to school, Nate. It's going to be a fabulous year!

PS-GG this week was fab! I can hardly wait for next week!

Taco Bell: Not a Medical Facility.

While working on my Torts homework that I should have done this weekend but did not do because "life happened," I came across the funniest defense of a law suit ever.

Let me set the scene: Homeboy walks into a Taco Bell. He is a little nauseous so decides to just get a soda. He orders the soda and then faints and falls backwards. He hits the back of his head and starts to convulse. After he's done, he stands up and then loses his balance and falls forward. He loses 4 teeth and breaks part of his neck.

The question here is whether Taco Bell has a duty to assist the customer even though the injury is by no fault of Taco Bell. Taco Bell's team of legal experts came up with the following argument:

"Taco Bell sells tacos.
It is not, and has never claimed to be, a medical treatment facility."

Sitting in the library, Megan and I laughed until we were crying.

Also, today is Erin's 19th BIRTHDAY!!!!!!!!!! Make sure you say hi if you see her today! Happy birthday, Dubada! I love you!!

YOU CAN'T SIT WITH US!

On Sunday, my power went out (along with about 75% of the city). I wasn't even about to sit around and hope that it turned back on, so I packed up and spent the night at Annee's. Monday morning was a little colder than I expected (or packed for), so I asked to borrow a sweatshirt. Annee then said:

"And you can only wear a sweatshirt one day a week.
Soooooo, I guess you picked today."

My kindred soul.

Definition, Please?

So, picture this. You're in your car, and you're singing along to a song that you love. All of the sudden, you realize that you don't know what you're singing because you're not down with the lingo. Sound familiar? Well, that happened to me the other day. I'm singing along that "Stuntin' is a habit" (because David Banner and Chris Brown told me so) when all of the sudden, I was worried about the exact definition of "Stuntin." Can I accurately say that this is a habit of mine? Is this something I should be admitting to? So, I decided to look it up. According to the oh so handy Urban Dictionary, "Stuntin" is:
High-class flashing of your jewelry, money, riches, etc. Made famous by the Cash Money Millionaires. A person who stunts would be a "stunna" usually showing off diamonds, gold, platinum, women, cars and stacks of cash..LARGE BILLS! see "bling bling" for an idea of something a "stunna" would stun.
I feel much better about the situation now. Since I know the official definition, I can accurately say that I think stuntin' could become habit forming.

Super Duper!

Dear GPS Lady,

I appreciate all that you do. I really do. We've had some good times. You've really helped me out of some stressful situations. You always get me from Point A to Point B (eventually).

See, the problem we're having lately is the route that you suggest. I am new to town and still trying to figure out where I can go and where I should avoid. I would appreciate it if you would stop driving me through bad parts of town. If ever I need a liquor store, pawn shop, or bail bondsman, thanks to you, I now know where to go. It is unlikely that I will ever need these services. Today you took me to the "Super Duper Market" next to a pawn shop and some other interesting business establishments. I would appreciate it if we took routes that avoid these types of neighborhoods. Thanks!!

XOXO,
Kathleen

100!!

This is post #100!

Happy Birthday, Blog!

What better way to celebrate than with a funfetti cupcake?!

He's No Raj

Let me tell you something I've learned the hard way over the past few days:

I was very excited to see that there was a 7 Eleven across from the entrance of my new apartment complex! Since that initial excitement, I have only been let down. Let me just list the ways:

My new 7 Eleven:
  • Does not accept debit cards for totals under $2.
  • Will not give cash back.
  • Makes you ASK for ice.
  • Does not refrigerate its fountain sodas (they come out of the fountain at room temp. Eew).
  • Does not properly measure the ratio of Diet Coke to Carbonation.
  • Charges $1.50 for a Big Gulp.
  • Is not friendly.
The last time I lived across from a "Sev," I was apparently spoiled.

And the worst part? They have a corner on the market. There is seriously nowhere else for me to safely get a DC on my way to school. Even then, I'm not 100% on the safety issue there. I guess this means I'm going to have to start planning ahead and buying DC from the grocery store. There's just something different about the taste of a cold DC out of a fountain.

Thanks, Obama!

An interesting headline on iGoogle caught my attention.
"Report: Satan Worshipers Killed, Ate 4 Teens in Russia."
It just sounded bizarre, so of course I read it. Ironically, off to the side of the page, I noticed an ad paid for by Obama for America. It says, "Don't Miss the Deadline to Register to Vote for Barak Obama!! Click Here to Register!" I've been meaning to register here for the last few months. Now that I have an actual address, I figured "why not?" So, thanks to Obama for America, I have officially filled out my paperwork to register to vote. I'm dropping it in the mail tomorrow morning.

And I'm still voting for John McCain.
