So, I'm a week late, but did you see the Gossip Girl season finale?? So many cliff-hangers!

Will Blair marry Louis??

Will Chuck change his mind & fight for Blair??

What will happen when Dan's book is published??

Will "Charlie" return to the Upper East Side??

It's going to be a summer of torture! At least I'll have The Bachelorette to get me through. I would LOVE if Dating in the Dark came back, too! Remember how non-scandalous that show was? The previews made it look so naughty--but it was the most awkwardly non-sexy show I've ever seen.

Also, I'm just kinda "eh" about Scotty as American Idol. I've been kinda "eh" about this whole season. The only albums I would buy are Lauren and Haley... and even then, I would probably thoroughly screen it on iTunes and then sleep on it for a few days before I hit the "purchase" button. (I'm kind of an iTunes purchase snob. It takes me for.ev.er. to spend gift cards.)

Lastly, let's also chat quickly about the fact that I got Gaga's new album on Amazon for 99 cents! Um, did I mention it was 99 cents? I already know that I love "Born This Way," so it's already a deal!

Thoughts on a Special Day

Today, my friends are graduating from law school. It's hard to believe that it's been 3 years since I started law school with them. I always wondered how I would feel when they graduated.

I feel... relieved... that I am not $150k in debt and about to start a job that I hate but have to work 80 hours/week to pay back that debt (remember how I hated legal writing?). I'm grateful for the humbling experience that it was to quit even though it looked/sounded/still sounds bad. I'm grateful for my wonderful husband and our little boy (who we wouldn't have right now had I stayed in school). Law school may be right for a lot of people--just not me!

Congrats to all of my law school friends!! You've all worked so hard and I'm proud of you!

George in AZ

George & I just got back from the Grand Canyon State (you know, I still have never actually seen the Grand Canyon... at least I don't think I have). We had a great time visiting family! As usual, I am terrible with taking pictures, but I did manage to grab a few!

I'm going to miss my family (especially my mom taking him when he wakes up early and letting me go back to sleep), but it feels good to be home! We sure missed Daddy! Once George woke up from his nap, he was sooo excited to see Daddy!

Hello!

I've been MIA for the last few days. George & I are hanging out with the fam. He's loving all of the attention and has hardly been napping at all! It's a good thing that I have plenty of helping hands!

Dubada's movie collection is better than redbox. Mostly because there are a bunch of movies that I haven't seen, and I don't have to pay for them... redbox movies cost me an average of $5. I know, I know. Last night, I watched "500 Days of Summer" and I really, really liked it. I know, where have I been for the last year? I just never saw it. It was a sweet movie. Dubs thought that I would hate Summer by the end of the movie, but I didn't. Not at all, actually. If you haven't seen it, go find it.

I'll probably watch "The Social Network" tonight. I tried to watch "Tangled" on Saturday, but I was running on 3 hours of sleep, so I couldn't stay awake. I'll probably watch it again.

We're having fun, but I've been so bad about pictures, so I'll have to get Mack to post some!

First, how irritated was I that Blogger was down all night last night? I mean, do they not realize that I have very important opinions that I need to share with the world?? Just kidding--but it was annoying in that I wanted to share my extreme couponing with all of you.

Yesterday, I took a list and went to Target. I only got things on my list (in fact, I didn't even get everything on my list because I decided that some of it I didn't need right away... way to go me, huh?). So I went with my coupons and this is what I got:

Also, last week, Target was having a sale where I bought 2 big boxes of diapers and got a $5 giftcard. Plus, I had a coupon. So I saved $6 on my diapers last week and we're set for at least 6 weeks!

This is also where I'm going to admit that I look over The Krazy Coupon Lady a few times a week (and I liked her on facebook for other updates). Also, I found a few newspaper vending machines... and after driving around for an hour and a little vigilante justice, I got a newspaper 2 weeks ago (you're going to have to ask me personally for this story--at least while the statute of limitations is still running). I also look at KCL's list of online coupons. Plus, I check some coupon websites once I have my list ready for the store. All in all, it didn't consume my day and I feel good about that. Next time, though, I'll find a vending machine with more than one newspaper in it.

So, TLC, I'm waiting for my phone call....

A Great Day!

Yesterday was such a great day! First, Steve & George surprised me with a really cute skirt and earrings for church! Then we went to church and George slept through most of Relief Society (which is wonderful because last week he was awake all 3 hours and then a grump for the rest of the day)! We came home and talked to my mo mand then I took a nap... well, started to... and then Dubada Skyped us from Ireland! So then I took a short nap and woke up in time to watch the Mavericks sweep the Lakers. Steve surprised me with a yummy lunch/dinner of French dip and "freedom fries." (We ate French dip for both lunch and dinner.. it was delicious!) Then we just hung out as a family. It was so nice to just get to spend a day with my two favorite boys! It was a great day!! I hope that all of you mommies out there had a special day yesterday! XOXO

So I put it off until the day after.

Field Trip!

Today, George and I took a field trip. We went to the pet store. He sat in front of the parakeets for about 20 minutes and was so excited to watch them fly around the cage! They were bright blue and green and there were about 15 of them in the cage. He loved it! We're going to have to go back with Steve. I'll take the video camera next time. It's adorable!

Yikes!

I was just about to get really mad at all of my friends... because I had nothing new to read... and then I realized that I haven't posted since Saturday!

A few things....

First: George. Still cute. Getting cuter.

Second: I came across a person I may know thanks to Facebook the other day and I thought to myself, "Ugh. Know her. Hate her." Then I thought for a second, "why don't I like her?" It took me a while and I remembered... but it took me a long time to figure it out! Too long. So, this is to let you all know that I have let that go. I'm becoming a better person--one "person I may know" at a time!

Third: I've already given up on eating better. When I'm not snacking all day, I'm hungry all day. Hungry Kathleen is not somebody that is fun to be around. I'm going to have to start again and take baby steps. Yesterday, I made brownies and they're already gone... that is unacceptable.

Gotta run--George is awake and hungry!

Last night, as I was eating my 3rd Cadbury Creme Egg, I reflected upon why I have felt so icky lately. I think it may have something to do with the way I eat.

So, starting today, I'm resolving to eat better. I'm off to a pretty good start. I had a bowl of Cheerios for breakfast... and I didn't go back for seconds. Now is the time where I get that craving for my usual mid-morning snack, a cup full of chocolate chips. I'm not going to give in. Instead, I'm opting for a caffeine-free Diet Pepsi.

This is going to be difficult, but I think I'll make it. Keep me accountable, please?
