Bah Humbug!

No, this man is not picking in his ear--he is actually plugging it!!!
Why? Because George let out a 2 second yelp on the airplane!
When he saw us sit down, he huffed and rolled his eyes.
The first time G made a noise, he folded up his newspaper and sighed.
I bet you can imagine the look I got when I had to breastfeed!
G was actually awake for most of the flight today, which was weird.
I thought he was being pretty good, though.
Only a few noises and none that lasted longer than 3 seconds.
I felt really sneaky as I got the camera out of my bag...
then I turned it on and turned the flash off.
I just knew that no one would believe me if I didn't have a picture!

No Me Gusta.

No, no! I love the boy!
What I don't love is that his daddy showed him that he can stand.
I also do not love the dirty clothes on the chair & couch.

A Big Week!

We've been MIA lately. We've been busy, ok?? We visited family in Philadelphia last week. It was fun. George was able to meet my Pop Pop and some aunts, uncles and cousins and was absolutely spoiled rotten by his Pop Pop! Seriously--my dad just walked with him all day long... so what does G want to do all day now? Yup. Spoiled.

He was great on the plane rides again! He flies like a champ!

He had some first while we were there... his first beach visit, his first carousel and I didn't realize until we were already home, but his first teeth cut, too! He has 2 little white spots on his bottom gums. He tries to protect them because they hurt... but every once in a while I get a glimpse!

We had a big week when we got home, too! We officially moved G into his big boy car seat! Remember when his baby car seat seemed too big for him? We would drive and I would yell, "WHY IS THIS ROAD SO BUMPY?? DON'T THEY KNOW I HAVE A BABY IN THE CAR?!?!"

G's feet were hanging off of the edge... plus he's getting very heavy in the carrier... plus it was really difficult to get him in and out of the harness. It was time. So, he's in a big boy car seat that stays in the car. I really underestimated how difficult it would be on me to have to get him in and out of the car seat every time we stop. I miss just clicking the car seat in and out and going on my way. I cleaned the old car seat and put it in storage for G's little brother or sister (no, I'm not pregnant... I'm just thinking ahead).

I hope you all had a fun week, too! I'm looking forward to catching up on everyone's blogs from the last 2 weeks!

List Five

Reasons that List Five is late:
  1. I was out of town last week and this week has been a blur.
  2. I didn't remember that it was Wednesday until really late.
  3. I was too lazy to put it together.
  4. I didn't have any ideas for a list.
So sue me. I skipped a week (sorta... if you don't count this as a list). List Six will be on time. I promise!

List Four

Six TV Shows Cancelled Before Their Time:
  1. The Event-NBC-2011-I have so many unanswered questions! In fact, I had a dream that was a lot like I was in The Event last week. I think we should petition for a second season!
  2. Justice-Fox-2006-About a high-profile criminal defense law firm. They moved it around to just about every night of the week before it disappeared! It was awesome!
  3. Point Pleasant-Fox-2005-They cancelled this mid-season. I guess I will never find out whether the priest is dead or alive... or if Christina ever learned to suppress her dark side.
  4. Everwood-WB-2002-2006-They cancelled this when the WB became the CW... but they brought back Seventh Heaven?? What the heck??
  5. Dirty Sexy Money-ABC-2007-2009-This really ended on a cliff-hanger for me. I heard a rumor that they showed the last episodes a few summers back, but I couldn't find them on TV or online (according to Wikipedia, it aired at 10pm on Saturdays! What the heck??)!
  6. Southland-NBC-2009-Steve and I really liked this show, but we didn't follow it to TNT. Now I'm too far behind to get back into it. I consider it cancelled.
Not on this list:
  • Arrested Development - I love this show. Might have made the list, except season 3 was dumb.
  • Alias - Seasons 1-4 were great... and I lost interest about 2 weeks into Season 5.
  • The OC - I was sad to see this go... but what did they expect when they killed Marissa Cooper? I didn't hate the last season, though. And I really liked the ending--hooray for another Cohen baby!
Also--is Dating in the Dark coming back this summer? I really hope it comes back this summer! Otherwise, consider it added to this list.

My Real Baby & My Fake Baby

It's been a whole week since I posted a picture of G! How will you even recognize him?? He's growing so much these days!

We put him in a box to send him to Grandma's. Then he decided that he wanted to stand on his own! He did it for probably 30 seconds before he got really, really wobbly.

On a funny note, do you think this looks like our baby?

I don't... except for the pale skin. Anyway, a few years ago, Megan & I were really stretching to find things to do other than study and we found a website called MakeMeBabies. It has since changed and is now more of a facebook app. Lame. But when it was cool and easy and didn't require downloading junk onto our computers, we spent hours putting people into the generator and tagging their babies on facebook. This is what Steve and I's baby came out like. I saved it like this instead of the big format because Steve and I had only been dating for about 2 months and I didn't want to weird him out if he found it on my computer. I think my real baby is much cuter, don't you??

Funny Headline

I was reading Slate Magazine tonight and came upon the following headline:

Murdoch Sells MySpace for $35 Million, $545 Million Less Than He Paid for It.

Then I said, "wait. Someone paid money for MySpace??"

  • List Three

Two things I want to do in Philadelphia next week:
    1. Eat a Cheesesteak (or seven)
    2. See Family & Friends

    Yawn.

Dr. Phil is doing a show about a gossip website today. I don't think I'm getting the right message from this show. Instead of being disgusted, I went straight to the website.

I just think it's a dumb website. I don't know these people--I don't care what they did or didn't do. Good for this guy for turning this dumb website into a living. It's just a shame that he will eventually be sued for all he's worth.

Moral of the Story: Yawn. I'm turning back to the Casey Anthony trial.

(I would do something productive, but G fell asleep beside me on the couch and I don't want to wake him... but I can't leave him alone because he's rolling all over the place these days.)
