A Request from Steve:

I have been asked to let you all know what a wonderful husband I have...
and what a wonderful daddy our baby boy has!!!

Our baby now has a crib! It's no longer in the back of my car!
It's actually assembled and in the baby's room!

Appalling.

I like to think of myself as a pretty generous person. There are a lot of causes that I would throw a few dollars to if I had it to spare. I usually like to give $1 or so to bell ringers or the Boy Scouts when they're standing outside of a store. But this is really too much:

Travis Barker Drums Up Cash for Injured BMX Stars

Really??? You're asking people to give their hard-earned cash to idiots who CHOOSE to risk their lives doing stupid stunts for no good reason? (Do people even care about the X Games anymore?) I'm appalled that of all of the worthwhile causes in the world, anyone would take this seriously.

So for all of you BMXers: Get some strange disease or help some needy children and I will donate to your cause. I will not be paying your unnecessary medical bills. No one pays my legitimate ones. Get a real job.

A Few Things:

1. Yes, the order of the ingredients in No Bake Cookies matters. I almost forgot the peanut butter... so I put it in last. Bad idea. Crumbly cookies.

2. Last week, as I was changing my address on my favorite magazines, I got an "invitation" to take a survey on Martha Stewart Living's customer service. I took it. It only took a second. Just now, I got an "invitation" to take a survey on that survey. Seriously??? A survey on a survey? Now you're just messing with me.

It's December!

I put together a list of some of my favorite Christmas songs! Enjoy!

I Like This.

I don't just like this... I really like this.
I hope it continues.
But even if it doesn't, it's going to inspire some awesome music.
(Jake is really brave...)
But mostly, I just want them to be together.

A Letter.

Dear Person Who Still Honks:

In this day of cellular telephones and text messaging, it is completely unnecessary to honk your horn to inform someone that you are there to pick them up.

Especially at 7am.

Let's not do that anymore,

Me.

I Heart Judge Judy.

I just got home and turned on Judge Judy to hear some girls arguing over someone writing "We're no longer friends" and "F You" on someone else's car with mousse. Apparently mousse is not safe to use on a car. Good to know.

So THEN Judge Judy said, "do you have pictures?" and the girl said, "Yes."

The pictures just looked like her car was sudsy from a car wash, really... but then she said...

"I didn't have time to get to the car wash. The mousse sat on the car for about a week before I could wash my car."

At which point I was thinking, "but you had time to take pictures?"

And Judge Judy said, "you don't own a hose?" and she said, "no."

So THEN Judge Judy asked her boyfriend/witness to stand. She said, "Where do you live?" He said, "a house." She said, "do you own a hose?" He said, "Yes." She said, "Thank you, sit down."

Oh My.

Dear Miley:

You're dangerously close to dressing like an Olsen twin circa 2005. That's not a compliment.

There's still time. You can reverse this downward spiral.

Love,

Me.

Score!

Today, one of my friends texted me asking if I still used my old email address. I haven't checked that email address in forever... seriously. So I told her no, gave her the email address that I use, and checked my old email address. I found something that I am sure glad I found... up to 4 free oil changes from Pontiac until the end of January! Granted, I'll probably only be able to use 1 (maybe 2 if I push it), but still! Free oil change! Very exciting.

The moral of this story: check your old email addresses periodically. You just might find an unexpected $40!

I Have The Funniest Husband....

After 2 awesome baby showers, our apartment is now bursting at the seams. We have baby stuff piled everywhere. When Steve got home from work on Saturday night, he sat on our bed and said,

"Goodbye 'Cool Steve.' Goodbye 'Cool Kathleen.'"
